Rear lower control arm bracket dimensions

Build replacement frames at a reasonable cost, and you save many 3rd gens.

That's the problem, I don't doubt you can build them, the cost to mfg would b3 up there. :(

I'd gladly build parts to make up for those that often get cut out and replaced.

In fact, my favorite part of fabrication is making something from the ground up.

In case anyone stumbles upon this thread, want to add that I'd be happy with fabbing up some more.

Posted a thread on the other 4R forum about availability.

Can offer them in a completely flat, WIY version or offer them bent and welded.

Hey! just the guy I was looking for!

Recently found out that my passenger side upper control arm mount is cracked (seems like an epidemic).

If I got you a set of dimensions and a sketch could you fab one up? more than happy to pay.

I would be interested in the upper mounts also. I had the passenger side break off but just welded it back on. It's been holding since June but would be happy to have replacements sitting on the shelf.

eimkeith makes an upper trailing arm reinforcement kit as well as a lower arm frame bracket reinforcements...

Props to you my friend and to eimkeith. I don't know if this is a recent edition to his products but I don't recall seeing these when I picked up his lower link mount reinforcement.

Guys, you can do what you wish. However, if those control arms brackets rust off or have holes in them. It's better to replace that steel than reinforce it. Well... It would be a lot more solid if replaced.. :)

If a replacement was available I would for sure go that route. A machinist I am not and considering the odd angles I'm not confident in my own skills to fabricate one.

I believe if someone could find the actual dimensions for those brackets @Kwickvette will make them no problem.

When mine were that bad, my entire axle housing was about done.

It's not leaking through the steel in the backplate or on the rear sides where the 3rd member is? Or where the other brackets are? Another bad area is the lateral control arm bracket. I seen that rots out and even gear grease leaking there before.

If you are seeing hairline cracks along those upper control arm brackets it maybe better to find a rust free axle housing. Or one in a lot better shape.

That's what I did on 2 rigs so far and working on the 3rd rigs axle housing to replace my winter 5 speed I am slowly working on.

I could slice up my old axle housing and send it to @Kwickvette for all these brackets. However, it's going to be a while yet as am not ready for thr winter 5 speed project for a whole yet. :(

I didn't even realize people were posting here; no one was really answering me when I asked questions so I kind of gave up posting here :lmao:

I can make something that isn't available, kind of why these came about.

Just made someone a set for their Sequoia.

Yeah I ordered a set of those but after some more careful analysis I decided to go to a pick and pull and get a whole axle housing and replace that. Not a whole lot more expensive and better peace of mind.

Oh man, this forum seems to have gotten worse with all the spam and advertisements.

Anyway, I'm bringing this thread up because even though I've made multiple of these for others on another forum, I never received the feedback I requested so I stopped making them.

Fast forward a year and a half later, I'm still coming back to tons of messages asking for a set which is why I need someone's help here.

If you require either an upper control arm mount, or lower control arm mount, and you provide all the dimensions, I will cut and weld out a set for you for free from 1/8" steel.

You will pay for shipping, and I will handle the rest.

After receiving said item, you will provide me with any necessary changes needed to ensure the best (and easiest) fitment.

Please post here if you're interested.

Things have changed quite a bit in the shop as I continuously make parts for people, but these two items are those I'm not getting any help with.

Pictures for attention
