I have ted may mounts and all left me dissatisfaced at some level. This is until I was introduced the the Nite Ize Steelie phone mount. I currently use it on my Iphone 6 plus with Magpul case. I cut a hole in the case to accomedate the phone side mount, my only complaint that they dont have this as a manufacturer. Option. This side attaches to a rare earth magnet on the vehicle side. Very easy you just set on and turn afjust to the desired angle. Then to remove you just lift it up. They also make a vent mount. I will take some photos tomorrow. I can see how this mount will be very popular when others find out about it like cb mic mount gps mount etc. Here are the factory pics attached.

Does your phone shake while driving as your using this?

Charging iPhone mount via cigarette lighter, find it on eBay for $20.

Proclip with their universal magnet mount. Comes with steel discs that you can insert between your iPhone and its case. I use this for my Motorola Droid Turbo which is a large, heavy phone and it's rock solid.

negative. you can move to any position and it does not move. but if you have a cord on it and it has tentikn it will turn it down or how ever the cord is attached. this thing is bery strong say about 5 pounds of force to remove from the mount. but easier than any other mount.

Today I bought the Kenu Airframe + and I don't like it. Actually I don't like anything that blocks the vents. Can the one you use be mounted above the vents somehow or does it have to attach on the vents?

Sundog7121...What do you use for your CB mic mount? I want to place one in a similar location in my 2016 T4R but can't seem to find a mic mount that faces "forward" like yours does in this picture.

2010riddle, can I also get those install pics? Want to know how to easily remove the upper trim to thru-mount these. Also, what Ram Mount parts did you use? Do you have part numbers or links you can send? Thanks.

Try This

I use proclips in every one of my vehicles.

I agree. I have had proclip or panavise dash mounts (with proclip device holders) in my last 5 vehicles. To me a vehicle specific panavise dash mount (very slim and metal) with proclip holders is the best combo but unfortunately there is not a panavise dash mount for our 5th gen 4Runners.

Currently use a mount I picked up from Target. Can't find link, but it's magnetic, little magnet piece between phone & case. Also petty sturdy, hasn't fallen during any trails.

Bracketron SI? That's what I use and it is similar, has a small magnet between the phone and case and holds my Note 4 securely. As small as the magnet is, it's surprisingly strong. It mounts on smooth and textured surfaces. I travel a lot for work and am always in and out of rentals and it's been great. Bought it at Best Buy.
