Recycled Fog Light Mod

my truck has always had one busted ugly foglight and one that somehow still worked. since i plan to build some bumpers and ditch them anyways i figured i would use the good one for a little more light when backing up.

started by cutting off the stock bracket and tracing out a pattern for new one.

bracket was a major PITA the cut out, kinda janked it up a bit but it worked out fine, sprayed it with some bedliner.

mounted to the frame rail with some self tapping screws, adjustment will just be a matter of bending the bracket to where i want it to be, once its dark outside. wired into the driver side reverse light, seems to work just fine and doesnt hang any lower than the hitch.

Pretty sweet. Love how you used stuff you don't need. I think mods like this are the Funnest because they really bring out your creativity. How's the light output?

Yeah I like them too, especially since they're free. Light output should be "ok", but I just got it done so I havent seen it in the dark. I plan on putting a better halogen bulb in there and calling it good.
