Redarc brake controller install

Tried disconnecting the brake controller and I'm still seeing the warning. So, having the brake controller connected may not be causing the warning light, but did the process of connecting it trigger the warning. I'm trying to figure out if this just a "something changed" warning or warning of a problem. Is there a master warning reset?

Have you tried opening and closing the hood? I didn’t look closely at your original picture. That looks to be the hood ajar warning.

Yep, that was it. It had popped when I was working on the panel and not closed completely. I was so sure I'd hosed up something with the electrical, I didn't look at the simple stuff. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hello,

Was wondering if someone could guide me with the additional ground wire. I have a RedArc Tow Pro Elite and the Tekonsha 3041-P harness that plugs into an older Tekonsha Controller.

If I cut off the Tekonsha plug, and splice each color together on the RedArc, shouldI just tap into the white wire somewhere and run the white wire and eyelet to the ground again?

Thank you,
Matt

you could splice, or just order the redarc harness, makes it easier and not really that $$$

Toyota suitable Tow-Pro Brake Controller Harness (TPH-021)

Hi, I just installed the Redarc Tow Pro Elite using the TPH-021 harness and I'm now seeing a warning on the dash of my 2022 4Runner. I've double checked and can't find anything that got disconnected during the install. I also tried disconnecting the Redarc and I still get the warning light. Adding to the challenge is that I don't see any information or description about this warning indicator anywhere in the manual and can't find it on the web. This is a 2022 4Runner. Any ideas / suggestions?

Thanks, Christian

Outside of the hood open issue! - how has your Redarc Tow Pro Elite using the TPH-021 harness been working?

Any codes/lights/ABS issues?

Running lights work?

Does the trailer lights work when manually activating the trailer brakes?

Did you just plug the TPH-021 from the RedArc Controller into the 4Runner?

Any extra splicing?

TIA
