So I am approaching the need for new tires, most likely after the winter. I have decided it is time to go with a more aggressive tire and want to go with the Nitto Trail Grappler. But trying to decide on which size.
Leaning towards a 295/70x17 (33.54) but recently starting to entertain the thought of going up to a 285/75x17 (34.09).
My question is is it necessary to regear with a 34" tire?
What are everyone's opinions on the two different sizes.
Down the road a regear is going to happen since the diff's will get cracked for lockers.
But until then, what way should I go?
