removing glare guard from foglight housing

Has anyone thought about or tried removing the glare gguard fromthe foglight housing?

IIt's a pretty common mod for people with a 300zx. I did it years ago on my 300zx and the difference was ridiculous. And it wasn't obnoxious or unsafe to oncoming traffic.

Might be worth trying If i can find a used foglight I might try.

Legal? Probably not? Obviously and dangerously illegal no.

That's an interesting thought, do you have to to unglue the lens from housing to do that?

On my 1990 300zx just had some screws. Super simple and made the foglights illuminate the road100% more.

I suppose you could only remove the bottom half of the glare guar and the side. Leave top half of guard intact to reduce some glare to oncoming traffic.

What did you do to your folights?
Did you tint the lense?
Or is that not the factory foglight housing?

The glare guard is the piece inside the foglight housing that the bulb sits behind. IT prevents the light from shining directly out front. So then the light just re directs to the sides inside the foglight housing.
