Removing panel behind "Party Mode" switch

I'm going to replace the "Party Mode" switch with one for my Aux battery so I need to pull the panel. In the repair manual it looks like I can just pop off the panel that the "Party Mode" switch is attached to, nothing to it (seems too easy). Is that correct or do I need to remove other panels first?

BTW - Anyone know what the little slotted vent just above the switch is for?

Here's the pict from the repair manual

Well it was as easy to remove as the drawings implied. I just stuck a trim panel removal tool behind the top right corner and POP. Then I discounted the wire going to the switch and it was off.

The slotted hole extends back a short way. There is some open cell foam on the back perimeter of the short extension that looks like it is intended to be a seal for an air channel. Nothing was connected to it so it must be for LE.

If your T4R has the auto climate control switch the slotted hole in that area is for one of the sensors for the temperature control. There are generally at least two in vehicle.
