Replaced O2 Sensor - Still have Check Eng Light

A few months ago my CEL came along with the VSC and a few others. Went to parts store and had them check the code and it came back as P0031 - Bank 1 Slot 1. Swapped out the top driver sensor with a Denso O2 sensor but my CEL is still on.

Read somewhere I think that removing then putting back in the EFI fuse might fix that - no joy. Took it to the part store to have them reset the codes - no joy. Disconnected from the battery for 10 min - no joy.

Any other suggestions on stuff I should try before heading to the dealership?

Essentially this P0031 code means that the resistance of the heater circuit is lower than normal. In most cases, that resistance level must fall below 0.8 A to trigger the DTC code.

A P0031 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following:
1.A short or open in the heater circuit in the sensor

2.A failed O2 sensor

3.heater Wiring/connectors broken/frayed leading to sensor and/or relay

4.Failed PCM/ECM

Hope these might help you. Test the resistance of the heater thing and see if it is below threshold. That might be your problem

Thanks for the information/ website. Not sure why my google skills failed me this go around. Looks like I'll be headed to the dealer before my next emissions check.
