Replacing Gobi's Wiring

I was wondering if anyone with a Gobi rack has replaced the wiring that they run from front to back - and if so how difficult was it to fish new wiring down the tubes.

I am having some intermittent ground issues, and I believe it is because I need a lower gauge wire within the rack.

I did and it was not difficult at all. Forget what it was but the original was pretty low gauge which I replaced with higher and added a quick connect in case I ever took the rack off. All proved unnecessary because the lower gauge would have been fine with LED lights.

Anyways, whatever the issue you are having I seriously doubt its because your gauge is too high. As they say, I don't think it works that way :wink2:

It could be too high. The smaller the gauge the bigger the wire.

You could also have a skinned wire in the inside frame itself, and also make sure your ground itself is good. Many times you can take a length of wire, an alligator clip, and go right to the battery negative to rule out a grounding issue.
