Ok so I started with purchasing the new mirror directly from the gentex website for $79.99 + s/h. It came with all hardware needed to install mirror, wiring harness, and instructions
1. Start by taking original mirror off and all you need to do is get a good hold of it and apply some upwards pressure and it comes right off.
2. Now put the new mirror in the original spot using the original mount. It slides right on and it has a torx style screw to tighten it on and hold it in place.
3. Now you will need to route the wiring harness to your power source. Since the harness they supply is pretty long I just routed it through the head liner down the pillar and through the dash down by the fuse block. To do this you need to remove a cover that is over the screws that hold the sun visor retaining clip in place the one closest to the driver side door. Take the two screws out and the clip comes off. Take the visor off by twisting the visor retaining clip (the one closest to the rearview mirror) counter clockwise and it slides out. Now you have enough room to route wiring into the headliner. next just pop out the speaker cover on the dash and then pull the pillar cover so that it just pops out about 3 to 4 in. now you can route the wiring down the pillar and then there is a few openings that the harness can go through on the dash to the left of the speaker and just let gravity take the wires down and then you need to remove the kick panel and the plastic piece at the bottom of the door jam.
4. Now the wiring should be within sight down by the fuse block there an empty threaded hole that I used for the ground it took a 10 mil bolt that you can get at any AutoZone or oriely's. For power I just spliced into a Pink wire that has switched 12v I used a multi-meter to verify. ( I suggest you do the same just to verify you are on the right wire)
5. Put everything back together.
6. Now as soon as you turn on your vehicle your mirror will turn on also and it all looks OEM as gentex is the supplier for most factory auto dim mirrors
