Request for Eezi Awn K9 Owners

Hey guys,

Wondering if anyone with an Eezi Awn K9 (@%1; or chmura or nevetsvsx) can do me a huge favor and measure something on their rack for me. Can you take a tape measure and measure out 24 3/4", place it in the center of the rack (width-wise) and see if the measurements fall within the area between the slats?

I have a tent where the rails measure 24 3/4" between each other, wanting to make sure the rails will fall in the dead space before I pull the trigger.

Thanks!

Damn that was quick. You're a lifesaver! its hard to tell from the pic angle, but how much in the dead space are you on either side?

It was perfect timing; I happened to be working on the truck and on the forum ha.

It has approx an inch on the outside of the slats before getting to 24 3/4"

jdtaylor42, can you grab a pic of how high high the rack sits above the roof? I am considering upgrading from my Drabbits rack.

weeeee make sure that you take into account the size of the RTT rails. Mine would only fit on one side and was really close on the other side but wouldn't make it. I had to run the RTT rails width wise across the truck.

Here's a pic... If you zoom in you can see it i think. uploadfromtaptalk1456367378299.jpg

Sorry I didn't see this while working on the truck last night. I have measured previously though and at the lowest point the rack sits approx. 2.5" off the roof. And it sits about 1" above the sharkfin antenna

Wondering if I should order it with shorter legs if there's already 1" clearance above the sharkfin with the standard legs...

What options are available as far as the legs? I figured it was a little higher off the roof than my current rack. I thought I once read they make a camp table that stores under the rack.

They ship with 65mm legs. According to Paul at Equipt, these are adjustable all the way down to the tip of the shark fin if you so desire. There's also a 40mm leg option available (not standard- you will have to call to request it). A 25mm difference is roughly about an inch so you'll need to remove the shark fin antenna.

The camp table is still an option. If you look at the pictures online through the Equipt page about half of them are from Pauls 5th gen 4Runner. Unfortunately the shark fin will need to be relocated for the table to fit.

Paul mentioned that he took out the shark fin and unplugged the satellite harness from the back of the radio and got an adapter to use a standard XM antenna.

Just an FYI, the closer to the roof you get the more likely you will be to lose any side clearance if you plan to get a shovel mount or awning possibly. at least towards the front since the roof line narrows towards the back creating more overhang. That aside I love mine and sorry I did buy yours weeeee

So of the 4 rack size options on Equipt's site, only the narrow one appears to fit the 4Runner, right? I was focused on the length but it seems like width is real determining factor.
