Doc, I'm not knocking the deal you got nor do I not believe you. I'm just shocked that you got such a great deal on a Pro. Although it sounds like it is very well deserved.
I'm frustrated as all hell with the dealer I tried to work with. They really low balled my trade and started higher on the 4Runner than they quoted me over email on it before I went in. I don't really have a need for a TRD Pro either though, the most off roading it would see would be a beach. I just think it's a great looking truck and a decent investment as far as brand new cars go.
Hope you didn't take my comment as an insult, wasn't intended to be. Sounds like you got the deal of the century on yours. I'm happy you for you.
I did not. Nor was I in the beginning trying to be insulting or anything of the like, I was attempting to be helpful just by mention that such deals can be had. There are many ways to do so. I know I am not the only one who got a great deal.
Here in came my response to an uncalled for attack. If the poster though I was being improper then pm me dont resort to attacking me, those who serve, people of the south, and others who got a good deal. That is some messed up sauce there that will flip me around any which way possible. But the insults I can take it is when it came down to the personal attack and atain what I felt as an attack on my breathren some of who paid more than even me and did not come back where I would excuse me $@;$

/; really seriously send someone to the hospital over. If not anything I am consistant. I was almost one of those people but does not matter. I find it insanely hard to go through any thread where anyone just attacks someone cause of what they said in the first place. Dunno, becomes ingraned in you to stick up for others from the seemingly bully. May have read the original out of context and definitely got what I said out of context but after that it dived into the abyss. I apologize to others it was definitely not my intent at all I was attempting to be helpful. I think it has gone to far with response for me to apologize for saying pick your battles son which I did mean sometimes you get a good deal sometimes you dont, as we all have. I did get a little earked by the attitude that its impossible, or you didnt get that, lier type of attitude. Again ingrained in me to stand up and speak out what I believe is right even when sometimes not so popular. With my TBI I definitely accept the possibilities that I can misread things but I do t believe I misread the attack kn me and resoonded in kind, though afterwords felt like I should have through pm or taken as lthers do the higher road and contact a moderator over it.
The free tags well yes and no it does end up helping out emensly. I do agree that qualifying for them does suck but I will take what I can when I can to help out as much as it can. Sucks cause I will never get a raise nor promotion etc. i am one of the lucky ones though who will be taken care of the rest of my life unless the politicans continue to mess it up furer and further taking benefits away from those of us who earned them to those who are on the proverbial nipple.
To the OP sorry dude, was really trying to help! I have had my best luck buying tese vehicles, especially the limited production ones, ie the pro, VW Eurovan Camper, FJ in the beginning etc. I am willing to buy a plane ticket anywhere in the country to get the best deal of course these days you have to figure in gas as it has gotten so expensive. True car does help with this for local deals. Also, as another has said credit unions can offer "discounts" "incentives" and special financing to sweeten the pot. Some can qualify for special tax incentives. It does not hurt to see if you qualify. Depends on the state thiugh and is usally reserved for the elderly or the severly disabled and even some others as POWS and the such.
Edit: if asked I would be happy to clean up all these posts of mine. To prevent any further delving into hysteria. And I greatly appreciate the better handling of it than me and sticking uo for me against it becoming personal.
