Reverse sensing wire

Does anyone have a pic of where I can find a reverse sensing wire in a 2011 SR5 base stereo with no nav or camera?

I have been through this forum and several others and any pic that may be useful was on image shack and doesn't show up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Don't know the answer for a wire up in the console area......, but you can always go back to the reverse lights and tap. Also check the repair manual and wiring diagrams. Should be pretty easy to find.

You didn't look that hard, most of the info here will work for all 5th gens. It's under reverse light.........

Thanks. I had actually come across that a couple of times, but when I posted this, I didn't have a wiring diagram which is why I was looking for an actual picture.

Since then, I was able to locate an FSM and with the diagram and the document you pointed out, I was able to find the correct wire.

FYI - You can also use the Reverse Light FUSE under the dash (the fuse is indeed only "Hot" when the reverse lights are on - at least on my '13 SR5).

I tapped into the reverse fuse with one of those "Add-A-Circuit" taps to trigger my aftermarket Alpine Camera/Radio combo...

I did this as well on my '11 SR5 ... works like a charm!

Did you end up leaving the fuse box cover off? I tried this route and it won't fit with the cover on for sure (Strangely, this is a deal breaker for me). I ordered posi-taps and will be doing it that way.

Yep. I already had an add-a-fuse thing for my hard-wired radar detector - so my fuse cover was already removed to begin with :) I keep the cover in the glove box for the fuse layout labeling printed on it...
