I found a set of the 285/70/17 duratracs in Denver. They are about 50% tread but it is such a good deal it may be worth it. I will be there this weekend so I will most likely pick them up.

Thanks! They were a tad pricey, but that's the price you gotta pay for something different. Wheels were $800 and shipping is $120, so $920 total.

Got some tires. 285/70/17 Duratracs. $300, 55% tread. Picked them up in Denver over the weekend.

Interior Accent Lighting.
So I am still waiting for the wheels to ship out. (Supposed to be shipped on the 14th)... Dang backorder
I decided to do a little lighting mod I have had in mind for a little while.
-A lot of newer cars come with a small LED in the overhead console that will turn on when the headlights are on and provide a nice, subtle glow to the center console area. Because of the Field Monitor, I already had a wire up there that was on the headlights/parking lights circuit. So the install should be very easy.
Parts:
-18ga Wire connectors
-Single LED accent module $1.99 (amber)
-Twist Lock #74 White LED. $1.79 ea. (White: for the monitor screen)
I bought my "single LED Accent Module" from SuperbrightLEDs(.com)
As you can see, it is pretty small. Just the right size actually.
Took off the field monitor:
Remove the monitor from housing:
Here is the wiring diagram from the plug on the field monitor, I needed to tap the "dash light dimmer" and the Ground:
I tapped into the wires on the monitor side of the plug instead of the other side of the plug. In case I ever need to remove it again, the light is attached to the monitor:
Drilled a hole. I don't remember how big it was, most likely 3/8". Maybe a bit smaller:
The module comes with a sticky backing, so just stick that to the monitor:
Wires going into the monitor:
All done:
I do not have any nighttime pictures, my camera just sucks too much for those. But I assure you, IT WORKS GREAT! Not to bright to distract you, barely even noticeable. But it provides a nice little glow to the interior.

On to the next item of business, I got a 2m HAM radio for my B-day.. :happy bda (may 25th, turned 21!)
It is a Yeasu FT-1500M. This model is known for its military-grade construction and excellent reception!
I have NO IDEA where I am going to put this thing. I guess I have some time to figure that out while I get my HAM license.
(my dad has his license and has the same model ham in his 2006 F-150)

I actually haven't bought the new ID, so I have not gone to a bar yet. Ive been working way to much lately and just haven't had time (had 1 day off in the last 3 weeks). I did go to Sandia casino last weekend with a few friends, walked away in the green.
Thanks, they are one of VERY few aftermarket wheels I like. And I need 17's to guarantee a good fit for the tundra 231's, so I had to make due.

I got home from work and went strait to Discount Tire.

$920: New 17x8 Konig wheels with shipping
$300: Used 285/70/17 Duratracs
-750: Sell old Tires & wheels locally
$470 Total

2nd that! You and Andrew Lee (Adio3x)- my buddy with the 5th gen have the same Konig's + Duractracs. Good combo!!! Those wheels are hard a hell to find now!
