Awesome video from the trip. Trails out on the left coast look so much better than out here.
Out of curiosity - why the move to a 2nd gen taco?
noooooooooooooo
I think I might have seen a Camry in that color once. Never seen a single other car in that shade, much less a Taco. Going to take a lot of sorting through white and gray ones.SPRUCE MICA GREEN :whoo:
Yeah im really excited to get one built, dont see them very often.Love the spruce mica green, hands down one of my favorite color yotas. Look forward to the new build!
Yeah that is definitely true, of the Tacomas currently listed for sale 2.5% are that color haha. This may take a while.I think I might have seen a Camry in that color once. Never seen a single other car in that shade, much less a Taco. Going to take a lot of sorting through white and gray ones.
That was a good time!Stumbled upon your build thread after watching a video on youtube. Really like your 4Runner! I was debating on a 2004 or newer but I think I am strongly considering a 3rd gen now for the price.
Thanks Paul! Hope all is well.Damn Jim!!! So sorry to hear about the new Runner. I have been AWOL for awhile on the Forum but will be checking in more often.
Good luck and have fun on the Taco build. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!!
Paul
Episode 2 is probably the lightest for actual wheeling stuff, so stay tuned!Another rad video! Got a tad flexy there, good test. You guys must have had a ton of footage if that's episode two and you guys still got all those good shots!
Wait til the next one!Just watched the new video. I was pretty jealous the whole time lol
Didn't see a pic but congrats on the new rig. My dad had to special order is 12 Tacoma in Spruce Mica. But it was also a DCLB with the 3 Link Rearend and TRD Sport Package.
Best of luck on the new build. I'll be looking forward to following it.
I haven't bought anything yet, but what is this about a 3-linked tacoma from the factory?
tacomas are leaf sprung though, all of them
unless you mean to say the quantity of leaves in each leaf pack.
exactly. i think my terminology is a bit off. my apologies.
clarified with my old man. i guess most were 5 leaf, his is the optional 4 leaf.
those 2 racks are really for different purposes. The RMR is far superior for mounting accessories like roof top tents, awnings, recovery boards, etc. But its not as good for strapping down boxes or whatever.4-Ripcord, how do you like that Rocky Mountain Rack? I'm on the fence between it and a Gobi Stealth. Only thing I'm hesitant about is it has no flooring/grating to secure things to. Looks fantastic though, love the side panels. Have you ever wished to have something you could secure smaller things down to?
Real clean looking rig, looks great.
I did get it but forgot to reply. I'm looking for a stock truck. But its gonna be a few months before I'm ready to buy one.Tried to send you a PM about a built SC'd Spruce localish(2hrs) to me. Didnt know if you got it or not.
