I used ¾" or whatever / 64ths that true thickness is lumber companies use to skimp and save a penny. The whole box is doweled, glued and screwed. Probably when overkill, but hey, why do it twice.

Over the holidays, got busy on some maintenance and mods.
It was time to change the oil and filter and since I was there, decided to change front and rear diff fluid. Oil change and rear diff went as one would expect, fairly easy and straight forward. Now on the the front diff. Remove fill plug, check. Remove drain plug using 10 mm hex. FAIL. The plug was in waaaaaay too tight. Tried a breaker bar, nope. Ended up rounding out the hex of the bolt.
Well crap!! and a few other expletives. Went and bought a ball head hex hoping it would bite at an angle. No go, ended up rounding it out even further. Well, now I am in a bit of a predicament. What to do, what to do.
Decided, since the welder is out, I will weld in the hex head into the plug. That solves the stripped issue. Done!
OK, now to see about getting this out of there again. Sucsess at last! It's out. Now drain oil and crap, holiday weekend, where the hell am I going to get a new drain plug? Welp, "F"-it, let's cut of the socket part of the hex, put a little more weld on that ***** and call it a day. Done and done. Reinstall with new washer using a 10 mm socket now and fill.

In addition to the fluids change, I had a leaking CV boot and spindle gussets sitting on the work bench for over a year. Disassembled the front and removed the leaking axle and replaced with my spare OEM axle. Then moved on the the gussets and tacked them up, removed fully, and stitch welded them up, painted and reassembled. This went pretty smooth, got this all done in one day along with the oil and diff fluids.

It's been a while, and there's always some small project just lingering in the back of the head to get done. Ever since I dropped off the truck at 4X4Labs and had the bumpers done, I haven't had a wwlasher fluid reservoir. I had bought the Shrockworks one, but Luke mounted the ARB twin compressor in that relocation spot, so that plan went out the window. I have tried to force the Shrockworks bottle in where the air pump is and shift things around, but just could not get that to work out. I have finally had enough, I took some measurements and the Shrockworks bottle to a lock fab shop and had them bud a new reservoir that will fit with some reconfiguring. Just got it back, painted and pumps installed. Stay tuned for the install. In the meantime,.....

Keep me posted. I have been wanting to relocate my bottle from out of the bumper for a while.

Made some more progress on this today. Have it figured out to shift things around in the area of the air pump to fit my custom washer reservoir. Have the base plates cut and fit with all of the mounting holes drilled. Need some misc metal to fab the mounting tabs and then swell on nuts / studs for securing all of the parts.It's been a while, and there's always some small project just lingering in the back of the head to get done. Have the washer bottle mount mostly done. Brackets welded to the underside for mounting and all the holes drilled. Need to fit it into place one last time before I weld all the the bolts in for mounting everything. I have it in just as the winter need for washer fluid is over.
