Rola Roof rack lighting options

Just got my 40" single row spot flood combo from Exploration outfitters really happy with it ! Man it got here quick just ordered it earlier in the week.

Now just have to get the rest of the 6" lights and bring my rack to my buddy's shop so he can weld up mounts for all the lights.

Very nice. Looks just like my 30". The spot pattern on these is great because it's much tighten than ones like my 40" I think the spot LEDs are 8* whereas on the DR's they're 30.

Yeah i'm looking forward to having it wired and mounted! Did a quick test fit and it fits perfectly on top of the rack.

You have a 30" too?:wow2:lol Where do you have that ?

I was thinking of doing a 30" in the rear but i feel for the amount i'm pry going to use it its not necessary.

I'm not sure haha. I may mount it along the bottom of the rear windshield inside or in the grille. Still thinking :heh:

Ahaa i gotcha, it would fit perfect in the grill. Problem for you is just like here in NY state where required to run front plateshwell: which blows! I think i'm going to do two 7" DR spots one on each side. Man these lights are highly addictive :shocked:

I'm not actually going to be wiring it myself as I'm not electrically inclined like that! But if I am present when it's getting done and depending on who does it I might try to help and be as hands on as possible and learn a thing or two I will definitely try to take as much pics as possible and do a nice write up on everything!

As of right now this project is on hold because my buddy who was going to weld up all the mounts for me had to get surgery and is out for a month soo it's going to be a little while yet till I can get it done.

I thought i would revive this thread because the rola rack has become pretty popular on our 4th Gens and a couple people have hit me up over time asking about how i mounted my lights on the rack and well i never finished posting after i had everything done.

So I had my buddy weld brackets on the front for my 40" light bar and then also weld tabs on both sides and the back to mounts 6" leds all the way around. All in all i was pretty happy with the turn out except the way the brackets were welded on the front leaves the light bar sitting just a tad bit higher than i wanted. Originally i wanted it to sit as flush with the top of the rack as possible.So what my buddy did is weld the brackets for the front light bar to the top of the bar which why it's sitting a bit high, if he would of welded it to the bottom of the bar i think it would be sitting perfect. He did it this way because he said it was the strongest.I may have somebody cut it and re weld it but for now it's been great. I thought i had some good pics of the brackets and how the other lights are mounted but i can't find them at the moment but for know i'll couple pics of the rack with the lights and i'll get some good pics of the brackets and how the lights ar emounted for you guys tomorrow..

Thanks! I've been really happy with this set up, nice and low pro and bright as sh!t and they more than suit my needs but great to have them there when i need them!

I mounted a 32" single row light bar in between the front cross bars using some warn tube mounts. I haven't had it out on the highway yet to see if there's anymore wins noise. My question is where are you guys running the wiring through the roof. I'm never big on drilling holes in rods, but I'm assuming it's unavoidable. I'll have to check out those low mount brackets too, I'm happy with the way out is now, but lower might be nice
