Roof racks that don't require drilling

I'm overwhelmed by all of the information on these damn things.

I need (want) a roof rack so I can put my pelicans up top to leave more room in the back to clear out a sleeping area for quick night trips and stuff.

What companies don't require any drilling? I would prefer something that already uses the stock rail spots that are on my 15 4Runner TRDPro.

My usual load I take places is like two pelican 1650's. The weight for those two are like 100lbs combined, and then I may try to put some water cans eventually up there.

I would like something extremely sturdy.

The gobi stealth does not require drilling. I don't think the Baja rack does either, nor drabbits but I do not have those personally. Of the 3 listed above I think all use the 4 factory mounting points and the the front of the rack rests on the roof via feet that are attached w/ double sided tape.

I would assume the "standard" Baja rack would use the existing holes since the feet are right about where the stock rack mounts.

Well, I guess what I mean when I say that is when I look up racks, some say "Don't require drilling".. Leads me to believe that some do require it.

I have the Gobi. No drilling was required. If you go this route make sure you gwt the mesh floor. It is perfect for all my Pelican and hardigg cases as well as a mount for my thuke box and fly rod holders. I am sure you can mount any ule or yakima accessory as well.

Haven't seen any roof racks that do for the 4Runners, since almost all generations had provisions (i.e. threaded holes) for factory roof racks.

I have the full length K9 rack by Eezi Awn...got it from Paul at Equipt and it does not need any drilling. It is the longest rack that I have seen on any of the 5th gens. The K9's use a long channel with sliding adjustable feet...very adjustable for the future.

Gobi Stealth with removable crossbars will fit your use-case VERY WELL. Not cheap, but one of the best racks out there for 4Runners.

Get it with the ladder, make your load and unload so much easier.

It is super rugged, and you can walk on them without issue. You can totally set up a tripod and shoot from up there! :eyebrows:
