Rosen Navigation Unit help.

Bought the unit, works great. Tried to update the maps, new file folder doesn't have the "Hbs.txt" file. Naviextras techs support say they don't know what it is, and Rosen Tech support hasn't responded to my request.

If someone out there who has the rosen, can you copy the files your SD card, and send it to me via Email? I would appreciate it greatly!

Thousands of members, noone has a rosen and the ability to take out the sd card, copy the file and send it to me, come on guys!

what state are you in and how old is your unit? you should be able to run by a dealer and have it done free

Virginia, and I bought it 3 months ago, it's aftermarket, I'm sure the dealer wouldn't have the file, thanks though!

I've never heard of Rosen before in my life, but your trouble makes me want to stick with Pioneer/Kenwood, other well known brands. I did some looking around, as I am a computer engineer, I was going to do some prodding in the update files for you, but cannot find any updates on the Rosen website. I also noticed that they do not have a support phone number...but I did find this one... (717) 843-7881 ...I don't know if it is real or valid, but you could try and see if they could direct you in the right direction. Sorry I can't help out any more than that!

not the car dealership rosen isnt from adealer the are sold through retail aftermarket car audio shops and installed for the dealer. you should be able to go to any major name car audio shop and have it done. stay away from best buy they dont know what they are doing.

Great Idea! I located 3 dealers within 30 miles of me, called all 3 they said "they can't get the file". the best thing they can do is order another unit... I asked if they had a unit I could just copy the card, can't do that either. Of course. What lousy service!

Did you ever fixed your issue? I had similar error msg. However, it my sd card.
It's crapped out. Seem to be poor quality compare to other cards, i.e. Kingston.
However, I manage to copy the content of the card to a new card. The HBS.txt file contains the following command lines:

You can contact Rosen @ 1-866-go Rosen or check their website rosenentertainment.com for a local distributor in your area. They warranty all their products for three years as long as you are the original owner they also cover up to a certain amount of the shops labor to make it worth their while.
