Rubber smell?

After a few hour road trip, 25 degrees out, when I got out I got a burning/melting rubber smell. I vaguely remember it from the other week after a 30 minute ride. Any ideas/places I should check? Drove 3 hours back and did not have the smell in my garage. Yes, it was coming from 'my' 4R, with the wind I could not narrow it down though.

I dropped the spare the other week to reattach a heat shield and it went back up just fine. Guess I could check to see if something else let go and is resting/heating up the spare.

its normal, i think the cause is the exhaust hanger but i can't remember for sure

Yea I have that smell too. Or had that smell when I first bought the truck. It's almost gone now. Can Barely smell it.

They are not that expensive so it's easier and less messy to use a new one each time.

How many miles did it take to dissipate? I've only got a couple hundred miles on my 2017, and the smell is pretty bad.

Yea it's strong at first but it goes away. Around maybe 2-3k miles, it'll go away. I have 4k miles on mine.
