Running Around's Mod log (Updated with new pics 08-15-09)

So I keep finding myself making new posts everytime I complete a mod. Rather than keep that up, I decided to post them all here and update as needed. I'll start from the beginning, and catch up to where I'm at currently.

First upgrade since I got it was to install the grille guard:

Next came the Black Rims:

And then I scored a sweet deal on some Hella 500's that I put on yesterday:

I also just started the process of installing L.E.ds in the dash. I'll snap pics of that shortly and get them on here. My daystar lift sits in the garage as we speak. Should get it in this weekend. Stay tuned!

And here's the LED's. So far I've replaced HVAC, Key Ring, Shifter, Ash Tray. Need to order all the rest yet. Plan on replacing them all.

did you lower your 4runner?

Man I hate hearing that. My buddy just yesterday told me that my truck looks like it's sitting lower!!! David_Ray had it right. 2WD on 225 = LOW! My 2.5 inch daystar should be on by the weekend, so that will help. Searching for bigger tires now also. And the grille guard is a Westin, and I love it.

What size tires are you looking for? I'm trying to decide which ones I want to upgrade to. Thinking about some 265s, I just don't want them to look tiny if/when I get a 3" lift.

Got the front end lift installed. The rear will go in one of these next couple nights. What a difference!!! Now I for sure need to get bigger tires.

yeah....unforunately, the tires are almost brand new. I've been looking on craigslist for used bigger tires, and I guess I would just sell these ones. They don't look completely terrible, but it's def noticeable to me.

Ha ha...trust me...I'm soo close to pulling the trigger on doing that. My boys use it to climb in and out though, so I'm a little hesitant.
Install a "kid grip"

$5 from the junkyard for an extra handle. 3" lift with 265's. Works great for my 4 year old, and the 2.5 year old has almost got the hang of it. Simple. My mother-in-law even found it useful for her.

Got the rear lift on and took the running boards off.

Your boy looks cold! Haha

Think you could get a full shot looking at it from the side? I've got 225's too and just wanna see if it really is that bad with a lift. So that's 2.5" correct?

Looks good man, hopefully you can find some bigger tires and it'll look even better. Did you paint your rims or have it done? Paint oe powdercoat?

Lookin' good RunningAround. I'm getting a lift in the future and now I know that I'll want to wait until I have the money to get new tires simultaneously so that I can complement the lift with a more aggressive tire.
