Running boards coming off today!

Yes, I noticed my truck was way faster and got better mpg when I ditched the immense weight of the running boards. Sliders and bumpers are much lighter anyway.

Hit my bolts with PB BLaster, life got busy so they soaked for about a few days...11mm socket and they came right off. Looks good.

Looks way better like that IMO - maybe a nice plate bumper up front and some rock sliders a your rig would look sick. I dig that color too.

Looks nice man! So when you guys black out your badges...are you just taping off the area around them and spraying, then digging the paint/dip out from the detailed parts with like a toothpick or something?

Not sure what paint will do, just tape off about an inch away from the badges, when you peel the Plasti Dip off it will make clean lines around the letters. Tooth pick works great to get in the tight spots to peel away the Plasti Dip. Dip Your Car youtube channel has lots of tips on using Plasti Dip.

I say, do away with them completely. Everyone knows what your car is and they are jelly regardless.
