Safari Snorkel confirms snorkel for 4th-gen coming

I read a small amount about something like that, but didn't get all that info. Just NYC-runner and cparks info on there's. Is there a thread about your issues?
Isn't the Tacoma air box on the drivers side??

4.0 Tacoma air box is in the exact same spot as the 4.0 4runner. Pretty sure it's the same spot in the fender too. Problem is that the Tacoma has a passenger side radio antenna, and the fender/fender flare is shaped a bit difference. I believe the actual Safari snorkel for the Tacoma has a bend where the antenna fits. Also want to say that the 4runner engine bay is a tad bigger so not sure how that equates to intake fender hole position.

Design is finished and tooling has begun. This can take up to 12 weeks to complete so they are still some way off.

found a snorkel that will fit a 4th gen...

i bought a Chinese knock off of a safari snorkel from a 100 series landcruiser. bolted right up to the fender.... plumbing was a bit of a bear. but it looks almost like it was suppose to be there. will post pics once I clean the dirt off of her!

Ha. This thread is still alive? Arb and safari will never release a snorkel for the 4th Gen. It doesn't make sense for them business wise.

I would. I've sucked up water twice now, once completely filling my air box. Also I would love to get my intake away from the heat of the motor.

I'm planning on installing one. I go on some very dusty roads that will absolutely clog an air filter. It'll be nice to get the intake up out of the dusty wheel well and have the ability to run a pre-filter. I will also be installing a Relentless Fab front bumper which will be great for the approach angle but will expose the intake more so a direct shot of water could be very possible when driving through puddles. That'll be the other nice benefit even though I don't push my luck by driving through deep water.

I use mine as intended every month, sometimes twice a month. Snorkels in general are typically for dusty conditions with a side option of raising your intake above the water line. Just ran desert washes and sandy/rocky hills on Saturday. Dust so bad if you weren't paying attention you were either rear ending someone, missing the trail turn offs, or running over bushes and trees. Betting my air filter looks better than the other 4 guys.

Can you post a picture of your engine? Did you keep the stock air box? I'm looking at a snorkel, but the drilling a huge hole is holding me back until im 100%.
