My desire for ARB gear is rapidly changing to Shrokworks
I don't want to shill for Safari/ARB, and I know it's easy for me to say "be patient" when I already have a snorkel, but I can assure you these are coming and are worth it. But Safari isn't a huge company, ARB is smaller than you'd think, and they have to prioritize right now based on potential purchases, and right now the ARB front bumper for the Tacoma is their priority, followed by the snorkel for the 3rd Gen Tacoma, purely because the Taco well outsells the 4Runner by a huge factor. Same with other vehicle make/models.
We're going to get the snorkel, and hopefully by summer but it's a fluid situation and they now have to build the molds, see how the molds show up, tweak, and then produce. Molds aren't cheap so they have to knock out the Tacoma first since the 2016 Taco is brand new.
I don't want to speak for Safari/ARB so I know about as much as you do on release date. They have a validated design, it's just about when the numbers match up to get it into production. This is also a pretty severe install, unlike cutting off a plastic bumper, so there's a big gap between folks who say "yeah I want a snorkel!" and those who are ACTUALLY willing to pony up and do the install.
But they are committed to making this, which is important since in august there were rumors that they weren't going forward with the project. They're committed to the point that they're going to translate the design into the 4th and 3rd gen 4Runners after the 5th.
