Safari snorkel on a 5th gen?

LOOK at it! It is very hard to leave it alone. One day when I see it in person, I am going to actually check out ALL of it in person... The inferno was made for your setup!

I agree about the Safari... I'll buy a new fender and paint it, just to drill new holes for the Safari, when it comes out! But until then, I hope this holds up!

The bigger concern is if the A-pillar holes line up. A new quarter panel isn't a big deal, but that A-Pillar is one BIG ASS PIECE that runs all the way to the back quarter panel. Again if you're gonna make holes make sure it's for the right reason.

Guess its going to be my nuts up for grabs...I called ARB 5 minutes ago and they said ETA was to have them before end of summer...not very specific as usual, but definitely within waiting range. As I've said again and again, 3rd Gen Tacos will come first. They're a much larger market segment. At this point my guy at ARB was pretty wishy washy on the snorkel ETA. Sorry.

Good morning. The design and prototype phase for the our 5th generation 4runner is complete. We are waiting for Safari to begin production of the snorkel. Fortunately, we expect the snorkel in the United States by the end of 2016. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!

Probably not. Word is later this summer. I should know soon as I'll be having my 3D printed version replaced with a production model.

I can't wait to see these installed on so many vehicles that'll never seen harsh conditions.

Hey! Not that this needs a snorkel, but my baby isn't being babied. My stock bash plate and fuel skid didn't come through this squeeze unscathed.

I really need to sit down and process my photos. The diff breather install I knocked out just before leaving for Ouray did come in handy, as like I expected creeks were swollen. And judging by the amount of dust I cleaned out of my interior I should probably take a look at my air filter to see how much got sucked in.

Almost nothing got sucked in I'd bet. The stock airbox does a rather great job of keeping positive pressure inside to keep water out. I just wonder how long it'll be before Snorkels become the next "fake beadlock wheels" of the 4runner world.

Once the realization hits that they will have to cut holes in otherwise pristine body panels many will get cold feet.

Personally I've never been a huge fan of them but did have one on my 100-series. That was the one mod request from my wife so it happened. I expect the same to happen with the 4Runner. :whip2:
