Umm...no. Sorry but your door seals are better than you think.
Also a snorkel has far more benefits for non-water applications.

I had to ask this question myself. The main benefit is in extreme dust. The OEM intake is in the passenger wheel well, right down in the dust. A snorkel puts the intake above the worst of it.
A snorkel is that high to guard against waves and splashes. No, of course a snorkel won't allow you to ford 5-ft deep water. You'd float.

If you like the way it looks on your truck then what other benefit do you need? Don't like it? Don't get it.
Also it has been proven to add about 50 HP at the wheels, that is more than inferno red and a TRD badge combined.

Someone needs to call the Chinese to make this with the Safari emblem on it. This is the only thing I would not care if its a copy because Safari is taking their sweet time. Matter of fact I would love a copy so Safari can get pissed and produce these faster for the 4th and 5th gens 4runners.
Send your 3D printed snorkel to china and have them make duplicates!

No. Because even my 3D Printer version is miles ahead of the chicom crappy FTS snorkels, and Safari/ARB has legit warranties for their products.
Give it time, as I've said there are other models that have priority for Safari right now but last I talked with ARB they said they're still committed to the 5th gen.

The whole other 'models have priority' right now excuse I been hearing for 4+ years now. By the time they fulfill those models (will take 1+ year) other new models will be out by then and the same thing will be said over and over again... :violin:

I have no say over when it gets put into production.
As I've said before of anyone here *I* need a production one the most because if my prototype breaks I have more to lose than some hurt feelings.
Current status of the snorkel: design is done, production hasn't started but hopefully 'soon'

I'm owning one...regardless of when it comes to market. I think people lose sight that this is not a necessity....I does have its function, but its still a novelty. Just be patient and wait for it...if you have extra money that's dying to be used buy another LED light bar or a compressor :thumb3:
