Safari snorkel on a 5th gen?

Without having to cruise through 42 pages, can anyone whose been following this mind sharing if there has been any discussion of visibility with this installed? Thanks.

FWIW, I have had a Safari Snorkel on my 1998 Tacoma for the past 11 years. I imagine the visibility reduction is very similar on most Safari Snorkels. With that said, other than the slight widening to the passenger A Pillar, I have never thought it caused any issues. You will get used to it and forget about it until the next time you park and someone asks, "How often do you use that?" To which I answer, "Everytime I drive it." :dancin:

You honestly won't notice it while driving. I'll try to get an iphone shot from the drivers seat but you're more likely to be bothered by the passenger visor than you would be the snorkel.

How is the rubbing up front with the 35s? I am about to cut my fenders up and then possibly add the bushwacker flares (trimmed up a little). Considering no one makes fenders for us.

I barely fit. You don't need to cut your fenders, you just need to time your liners back a tad, and do a HUGE body mount chop. The BW fenders suck. Avoid them.

Yeah I know, just would like a little more coverage. I do rub at full compression pretty bad, to the point it popped the plastic fender off. I am actually going to trim about an inch off the metal fender (probably up to the mounting holes for the plastic outer fender), then trim the other about 3/4" to keep the look clean. Hopefully that will be enough.

Oh and to keep it thread specific, I can't wait to get a snorkel.

The new gen 3 Tacoma snorkel looks pretty darn close to the 4runner. The fender and pillar lines look similar, and I wish someone would try fitting in on their 4runner because I am ready for a snorkel already. Any word on 2017 release date?

I hit up Nate @ Pathfinder Outdoors and ordered the FTS... I have the patience of a 12 year old... Wife is planning on a TRD Pro this year... maybe she'll get the Safari...
