I just remembered, I checked on this the other day and this is also (at least partially) incorrect.

My SG2 allows me to enter a correction factor of +/- AT LEAST 18%. I was driving around and remembered this thread, so at a stoplight I got into the menus and checked and sure enough, I was able to adjust it by 18% before the light turned green. I'm not sure how far it will actually go beyond that, I'll bet it goes to at least 20%, and that should cover 99% of the mods people are going to do to their 4Runners.

Maybe you guys are running some older software on your SG2's??? I know for sure there are different software versions.
 
I can't get any of the X-Gauges to work. I have tried every code that Scangauge has on their site (ISO) and every combination that everyone here has posted. I'm trying to get A/F to work (yes I tried all 17 codes + the ones posted here). It would also be nice to get Barometric pressure and Altitude.

Does anyone have a 2000 or older rig with the A/F working?
Maybe it's the O2 sensors that I have in it.

Please help!

A/F has never worked for me on my '99. I haven't tried it on my '01. The Altitude and Barometric pressure will never work, because the vehicle's OBDII doesn't have sensors for them. From what I understand anyway.

It looks like the 96-2000 uses different O2 sensors than the 2001-2002.
 
To get the A/F to work, the O2 sensor must be a wide band. The 2001-2002 must have wide band O2s.

Scangauge did get back to me (they were very helpful) I ran some commands and the codes that came back confirmed that the older 4runners don't have what is needed to get A/F ratios.

'99 and '00 Cali. emissions trucks and all '01-'02 have wideband front O2 sensors.
 
I got two versions of the A/F code to work on my 2001 yesterday. However, I don't get a decimal point in mine. Not that it's a big deal...but I thought someone DID get a display like this >> 14.65....opposed to this >> 1465


If anyone has ever seen A/F displayed with the decimal point, please chime in.

You'd think. But I tried both. And they both give me the same thing....no decimal point on either one.


Maybe I entered it wrong. I'll double check later.
 
Ok, so I didn't complete the "process" when I edited the code. If you have an already existing X-gauge, and you edit it, not only do you have to "save" in the edit menu, but then on the main gauge screen you have to re-select that gauge by cycling through them all.

I now have an A/F that reads 14.6. Love it.

RXD: 2808
MTH: 05B900800000
NAM: A/F

I'm going to have to try the cycle thru thing. MAYBE it'll work on mine. I doubt it.

RXF : 044145B40000 ( use 0 in the 5th place if you don't want a decimal like 1479 instead of 14.7 )

RXD : 2808

MTH : 05BE00800000 ( alternately you could use 05B900800000 )

Now the question is, is the ambient air temp sensor only installed on the Limited or all they installed on all models and just not hooked up ? I read a post where someone got the Air Temp code to work but they didn't list the code or type of 4runner they had. I used this code and it doesn't work for me :

TXD: 686AF10146

RXF : 004415460000

RXD : 2808

MTH : 00090005FFD8

I just came in using this a/f code and actually got something to work but it reads aprox 1/2 of what is should be. My gauge is reading like 7.57.

Looks like I'm half way there lol. Thanks naloboy!

Like I said I'm not sure if my numbers are right, I was getting 9.5 sitting in my driveway. Ran to the store about 6 blocks away and went up to 12.7. I have a long drive to work tomorrow so I'll keep an eye on the numbers and give an update
