If anyone is interested, I designed and made a 3D printed spacer so that the ScanGuage II can fit on the curved steering column. I used thin 3M VHB tape and it fits much better than using the velcro alone.

You can print your own, or if you dont have a printer and you want one I can ship you one for just the cost of the shipping + materials.

At first glance of some photos it looks to be the same, but I'd like someone to test it out and confirm it fits the pre-facelift 5th gen. I'll send you one and refund you the money if it doesn't fit.

Don't want to step on [MENTION=244368]geofox784[/MENTION] toes here, but I have a '13 TE and my new 3D printer arrives tomorrow. :bravo: This looks like a pretty easy early print for me to try my hand at and I'll be able to confirm fitment on a pre facelift 5th Gen. Will (hopefully) be able to try it out this weekend and report back.

I will not be selling these though. I'll leave that to OP, it's his design and he offered first.

Success on early 5th Gen

I got one printed out and mounted in my early 5th Gen ('13 TE) and it's perfect. I hit the edges of the 3M tape with a sharpie so it didn't stick out so much, but I rushed it a bit and will likely do that part over.



The lines are perfect and made for a much more solid mounting than the double sided tape I had just stuck it on with previously.

One note on printing it out, I did have a little trouble getting good adhesion on the print bed with the bracket oriented vertically as it comes in the download. I ended up flipping it on its back so there was more surface area to work with and had much better success printing.

Big thanks to [MENTION=244368]geofox784[/MENTION] for putting this together and making it available to download and print for ourselves. For those without a 3D printer, don't hesitate to order one from him, it's a good piece.

Still waiting on getting an actual scan gauge but did purchase and received my mount. I’ve been looking for something like this for a while and glad the OP offered his services to the forum! He’s quick to respond and prompt with mailing these out. $10 well spent!
