does anyone know if the scion head unit need special formating for mp3 cd's? I burned an mp3 cd and the head unit wants to play it in folders as opposed to the playlist that I created through Media Center. Does anyone know if I need to burn the cd a special way in order to create a playlist instead of artist folders?

It won't read playlists. It just searches the disc for MP3 files and plays them in alphabetical order. It'll play all the music in the first folder, then move on to the next folder.

Can it decode ID3 tags?

hopefully i'll be getting mine soon, and if it can read ID3 tags, it would be huge

nope. It would say something like Disc 2 Folder 4 Track 1

Yes, it'll decode ID3 tags. Just push the "TEXT" button and it'll display Author, Title, Album, file name with each push of the button.

Oh crap... really? My bad...

No it wont read them. The best way to do it if you have a definite order you want them in is to just burn them all in one folder in the particular order you want them. Not the most convenient but not really hard to do.
