I am trying to find out if the Pioneer GEX-P910XM XM Digital Satellite Tuner and AN-91XM XM Satellite Antenna will work with thew Scion head unit. That's about $250.

Just need to find out what connector on the Scion Radio is the one for the Satellite Connections and see if PIE/Blitzsafe/Pioneer have one that will fit!

I think that is only needed is to find out if the Scion HU has a I/P Bus connection, if it does, it will work.

Be sure to update the boards if you guys find a cost effective method to enable the satelite radio in the Scion headunit. I've been working with a couple different 'yota dealerships, but I haven't been able to get the price down enough to justify it and I'm not willing to go the FM modulator route.

Added Polk Audio DB690 front and DB650 rear speakers to the Scion Pioneer head unit today.

Sounds SWEET! even without a sub. :guitar2:

When you added the polks, did you take the separate front tweeter out of play? Did you splice wire them, or buy plug-in adapters? If you used adapters, which ones?

At Circuit City I paid $149 for the 6x9 3 ways in the front and got the rear 6x5 2 ways for $50 (1/2 price, regularly $100) on a special Polk Audio promotion. They charged me $40 to install all four and did a beautiful job.

Both front and rear speakers are multi way speakers and Polk has a built in crossover to seperate the mid and high frequencies from the low frequencies. You will only get that in better grade speakers so watch what you buy.

The frequency separation is real good on the Polk's and I left the stock tweeter in place in the top of the driver's door. FYI that 2 1/2" stock tweeter is also protected by a factory installed crossover.
