Hot spots aren't too bad. I'm happy with the outcome. I plan on backlighting all door handles and window switches. I am also going to install courtesy lights in the kick panels.
Looking at your rig it sure doesn't look like a 2x !! Great job with the dash lights I've been wanting to do this myself but I can't decide which road to go down between led supplier and color. I also get discouraged by the number of people that report bulb failure not long after. My '98 original greens are still glowing with no burn out. Just the ugly green.....

I bought all of the lights from superbrightleds.com. I only replaced the 3 gauge lights in the instrument cluster and moved the bulb from L to D in the shift indicator section because the D was looking dim.
Nope. None at all. I raised it up another notch to the middle of the Billstein shocks to level it more while I was replacing a leaking shock and it rides considerably rougher, but not terrible.
