1st my hat is off to those who contribute to this forum, endless hours of research pretty much answered all my questions and had me correcting about every salesman that I dealt with (although for most it doesn't take much, no offense to the good ones). I placed my order for a 2014 Mag Gey Trail Premium with KDSS a couple weeks ago, still waiting on a build date.
Does anyone happen to have Force vs. Shaft Velocity or Force vs. Shaft Displacement curves for any shocks offered for the 4runner (Icon, Fox, King, Toytec,OME, Stock). I called Icon this afternoon and they said they would not release that information, assuming other manufacturers are the same way. I guess I can't blame them as that is like asking for dimensioned CAD drawings to someone’s custom parts however it seems like the only way to compare shocks in an unbiased way. I still think that for the $$$ (mainly on the first 3) we should be provided hard data on to the difference and not have to rely on others finely tuned derrieres.
hwell:
Granted I am in no way qualified to interpret that data but it would be fun to take a look at. I do not plan to make any changes before spending some quality time in the driver’s seat with the stock suspension, just doing a little online investigating.
Thanks
