Shock/Spring Placement

Hey guys, i've been searching around getting all the info i need for my FJ shocks/springs swap, and have seen people saying to make sure the shocks/springs are facing certain directions or require specific placement.

is this true? Or is it pretty straight forward once i take out the old stuff ill see and make note of how the new one will go in

Pretty straight forward, I don't know how you could install the shocks incorrectly? I just made note of which direction the pigtails were facing on the stock springs and installed the same.

Thanks. i think more of what i saw is when the spring isn't already assembled with the shock
 
Make it easier on yourself and note the positioning of the top strut mount and how the lower bolt is position before taking the spring and struts apart. It will make it much easier putting it back in.

The top only goes in one way and it a PITA to use a prybar to twist the struts after they have been assembled with the springs.

Well i wont have to worry about that too much because the fronts are already assembled ready to be installed brackets and all from the 08' FJ :lmao:
