shocks/lift/spacer questions

hey guys, its been a while since i have visited.
long is short is i have been reading all of the stickys and post about shocks and lifts there is so much information i think i have confused myself.

I have a 03 limited 2wd w/o xreas
the shocks are still stock.
I would like to do a small spacer lift, something like a 2/1 just to make it level and lift it up a little bit.
My stock shocks are wore out and need replacing at the same time. I am trying to do this and not break the bank. Do you guys think I should just buy shocks and spacers and be done with it or is there another easy/cheap option to replace the whole shock/spring setup and still get some height out of it?

Since you are going to replace the shocks anyways, I would purchase a set of bilstein 5100s and a Daystar 1" rear spacer. I think that will be your most cost effective setup. The front lift you can set with the Bilstein's adjustable spring perch so you don't need a spacer in the front.

Will there be enough lift in the bilstiens
to level out that squashed look in the front when putting the 1 rear spacer in there?

Yes, with the Bilsteins you have the option of 0”, .85”, 1.75”, and 2.5” of lift

Never heard of them referred to as the offroad shocks, you want the 5100 series like these Bilstein Height adjustable front and matching 5100 Rear shocks - Toytec Lifts: Toyota Lift Kits: FJ Cruiser Lift Kits, Tacoma Lift Kits, Tundra Lift Kits, 4 Runner Lift Kits, Sequoia Lift Kits, Toyota Truck Lift Kits

May be confused by the 5125's which have longer length, you will not need those with such a small lift. You should be set with the kit that was linked to you. You cant go wrong!!

you might need to call the vendors for availability of the Bilstein 5100 (sometimes they are back order). try visiting the this 2 sites and also ask them about your project and they will be able to suggest what you need.
