Should I get a spoiler?

Yeah i'm planning on getting a hump one. Can anyone else verify that you don't need a different lift gate to install an OEM spoiler?
and is the 3rd tail light LED's?

No, you shouldn't need a different gate.
The only reason that I can think of that you would need to replace your lift gate is if you installed a aftermarket spoiler that had the mounting holes in a different spot and wanted to replace it with a OEM spoiler. Even then that is only if you could see them or if it would cause a mounting issue of some sort.

So is the only place to get one with the hump for my 06 the dealer? And how much is it for install+paint?
From the response I got from partznet they sell the OEM (Hump) style spoiler.
They are a little cheaper then the dealer, they charge about $560 where the dealer seems to be in the $700 range.
If you go to partznet, once you select your year/model, just click on "Lift Gate" on the left, then Spoiler>Spoiler Assy, and select your color.

I've been looking at ebay. There is a spoiler seller who sells them for about $120

Pls tell me im not seeing things. Yesterday on the Capital Beltway sitting in traffic, I saw 2 silver runners both of them 4th gen either 04 or 05. One of them was a V8 Limited and the other was a Sport. But both of them had a spoiler with a hump. I thought those only came on 06+? Is this correct?

No one is making aftermarket spoiler WITH the hump. As others have said, sometimes they show pictures of the spoiler with the hump. I had to return 2 of them and it was a bit of a fiasco with both. The problem is these people don't realize there is any difference hump/no hump - they are clueless! So be careful. I was never willing to spend the $700+ for the OEM and I don't want one if it doesn't have the hump. The $560 is a good price if it really is the OEM verision.bobbyavidity said:

Filling the hole would not be so much fun. Most body shops would probably bondo it, some might tac in some sheet metal but I doubt it. If the T4R came from factor with spoiler the third break light location in the gate would have to be removed. Might be more trouble then its worth after filing, shaping, prep and paint.
What about getting a spoiler that doesn't have the hump? Like the pre '06 version or an aftermarket?
