Shrockworks front bumper goodness !

Here it is guys :)

Installed it last week ! I would like to give a BIG thanks to Mitch from Srockworks. I talked with him a couple of times and he was very nice. I was missing the turn signal lights and when I called him to let him know. He sent it out the same day express mail. I got my lights 2 days later !

The build is solid. Great quality and fits real nice. Here it is guys ! I also went all out with OME Heavy duty coils in the front with all out Nitro Chargers shocks front and back. I kept the medium duty OME coils in the back because I already have the airlift 1000 and I felt like I didnt need them right now.

Tje ride is definitly stiffer and I like it like that :)
Also got a winch in there hehe.

Now I just need to find some places deep in the woods and get down and dirty lol as the truck is already full of scratchs front small hunting and fishing trips

Where did you mount your winch solenoid? I've had my SW front bumper on for about 4 years and love it. Just now getting a winch. From what I see others doing, I will probably mount the solenoid to the open vertical sheet metal near the frame end.
 
I had to make an adjustment, it is mounted on the winch, place is ok as the wires are not that long for the winch I had and didn't have the option to get longer cables, let me find a pic. Angles are weird from the pics but it holds well. I have tried it and I have space to place the remote. If you look closely you can see the small bracket I made to hold that black pipe in front of the rubber gasket where the controller gets plugged in.

Now I have trouble with my Dual battery setup :( I thought an 80 amp solenoid would be fine but I think I need 120 amp or the fancy relays at 200$ + or I did something wrong because the solenoid I have is overheating. I followed the dual batteries on the cheap setup and ... fml
 
Thanks for the pics. My Warn comes with cables that are about 2' long so I should be able to mount it away from the winch. Now I need to cross my fingers that I can install the winch without removing the bumper!

From what I learned you will have to remove the bumper to install the winch as you will not have any space to bolt it on. There are other more convenient places to install the winch solenoid depending on the model you bought. If you do it yourself you will have more options or you will have to talk with the tech and find a good place for you :)

Oh yea, I'll be doing it myself. It will mean the difference in needing another person or not. If I don't have to remove the bumper I can do it myself. But, if the bumper needs to come off, it will be way easier with help. I'm impatient so I don't like waiting for help, haha.

Sorry to tell you man but 135lbs + 85 lbs if you can bench press 200lbs with 1 hand than go ahead and solo it ! And at least a 24 pack of pepsi ! hehe NOT ! Beeeeeeer yes.

Haha, I may have installed the bumper on my own. Was a bit dicey with a floor jack, but I did it. I'll post pics for sure.

Couldn't pass up the deal on my Warn XD9000 for $500 brand new. Craigslist comes through sometimes.

If not completely impossible, it would be way worse to try to install a winch with the bumper attached. Good news is your brackets are already attached to the frame and everything is aligned, so removal/reinstall is cake compared to the initial install.

I've always done it solo by carefully balancing a floor jack to carry the weight and lift/lower, plus ratchet straps from the hoops to my roof rack to control tilt.

Yea, after thinking it through I think it would end up taking longer to install everything with the bumper mounted even if it was possible. Just trying to be lazy.
 
What size shackles did you buy? I looked at the Shrockworks website and it said the bumper accepts 3/4 clevis shackles. I bought that with a 7/8 pin size and it's flopping around in the shackle mount lol.

Yea, I have the same size. They moved around a little. I purchased the Daystar shackle isolator so they don't scratch the paint off of the bumper. https://www.amazon.com/Daystar-Shackle-Isolator-rattling-KU70056BK/dp/B001P22UUU

Daystar also makes washers to keep the pin from moving around.
