Side mirror puddle light upgrade

I want these for my Pro!!!

So last night I wired up my puddle lights. While doing so, I took a look at my mirror harness. I hoping that trucks without puddle lamp and turn signals might have the same harness.

Where did you find instructions?

I just looked at the pics and it seemed straight forward.

1. Remove mirror cap. Remove it by grabbing the inner corner firmly. - check YouTube

2. remove two screws holding the lower part of the mirror.

3. Gently remove the lower part of the mirror

4. Turn the bulb socket for the Oem puddle lamp counter clockwise.

5. Remove all 4 screws which holds the Oem bulb housing and puddle cover from lower part of mirror.

6. Install the Meso led to the Meso puddle cover. Rotate the led until the screw holes are visible. Use the provided washer and screw.

7. Connect the Meso puddle connector to the Meso puddle light.

8. Connect the end of the Meso puddle connector to the Oem mirror connector.

9. Re-attach the lower cover back to the mirror housing and the two screws.

10. Replace back the mirror cap.

So are you saying you got them to work? Did you wire in a switch?

What about the actual mirror? Did you swap out the base to get the light to fit?

Sorry for the confusion. My truck has blinkers and puddles in the mirror from the factory.

I’m trying to find out if trucks without factory mirror blinkers and puddles have the same factory wiring.

changing the mirror is simple, but running the wires is a pita if you need to tap off the blinkers near the headlights.

I want someone who does not have factory blinkers and puddles to compare there mirror wires. Just need to pop off the mirror cap. Takes like 5 secs :-)

Gotchya!

I may do this on Wed.

I may be able to do this tomorrow am. I have the Suma mirrors with turn signal but do NOT have the turn signals or puddles in the housing (non-premium). I haven't figured out how to wire them up. I suspect running the wires to the front turn signals is only option.

I won't be much help and I haven't installed them yet on the 4runner, but on the Tacoma his kit taps into a harness by the airbag on the driver's side window pillar, then you have to run his harness. I haven't put these on my Taco yet either and have had them for months now because I'm pretty lazy and don't know if I want to do all that work only to screw something up.

If you look on YouTube, you'll see what I'm talking about. The 4R could be the same way, but I don't think he will make a harness for 4Rs since he's mainly a Tacoma guy. Also, Tacomas don't come with any puddle light option, which is why you have to install his harness and tap into the cab light to power the puddle lights.

I can tell you there is only a black and a red wire toward the front of my mirror housing. That's it. This is on the passenger side. I'll have to find somewhere to tap my turn signals, or take it to a dealer, but not sure they will want do the install.

Tapping wires? Nah, they won't

Perhaps follow the harness to the kick panels like in this Tacoma video. I just hoping the main harness has the puddle and blinker wires available.
