Side view mirror lense cover removal...Need Help

How do you remove the turn signal lense covers on the side view mirrors? Do they just pop off? I am planning on smoking them out since I am in the process of blacking out my 4R. I did a search and didnt see anything on this. Thanks.

It's kind of a pain as you have to take the mirror completely apart as the screws that hold the lens on are behind the mirror and actuator and probably easier to just tape it off?
