Sliders from White-knuckle Off Road

I like um big time! Not concerned with the Ubolts as I don't really slide that often. Mostly when I screw up and I'll deal with the consequences.

Are the steps deep enough to effectively use as a step? Any idea how much the sliders weigh? Mostly concerned cause of shipping. I life in Hawaii.

The bump out part is enough to get a solid footing on. The front is enough to get a quarter of your foot on there :P

If you PM me an address, I can get shipping quote as I am selling them. I loved them but I need a new set since I changed up my trim.

I will have to double check the weight but I think about 65lbs each.

Just realized you have LE. I have TE so I guess it's not compatible. Thanks for the offer.
 
ya I have seen that TE molding don't like that it leaves the back open but other than changing out everything to the OEM TE stuff for +400 it may be my only option.
 
Just ordered my Gen 4 Rocksliders from WK-Offroad

I just ordered my set of sliders from John at White Knuckle Offroad. He is in deed a very knowledgeable fellow. He and I talked about my on going project and explained some dimensions for me to clarify clearance. Check out his customer's videos on Youtube. AWESOME customer service so far. I will post pics once installed.
 
Hey guys, sorry for digging this one up, but this seemed like the best thread to get the attention of those who are looking to buy or who have already bought a set of WK sliders.

Can some one take a few photos from the top of the sliders with the doors open? I would like to get an idea how much you need to step on or over when getting in and out of the truck. I have also read a few reviews that mention the rear hoops can swallow a small human, which this is quite humorous, I want to make sure that I am not going to get something that will maim my friends and family getting in and out of my truck. As of now the WK sliders are at the top of my list and one of the first mods for the TRDP of mine that will be showing up in the coming days.

It will be a while before I post pics. I am waiting for a 4 week build out with Fox Racing.....ugh. My sliders came today. John is the best. The powder coat is legit. Be prepared to strap on 120lbs. I am curious about the rear hoop as well. I have small kids, and hope to goodness these hoops swallow them up whole. jk.
I will post in a few weeks. Stay tuned!

Go here:
Customers Rigs | Search

Then put "5th gen" in search without quotes. There is one set of photos where he puts a tape measure on with the doors open to show the front and back step clearance.

It's on page two of the "KDSS" set of photos.

I took these photos after I installed mine. They don't stick out too much. You can easily step right over them getting out of the truck, or just as easily use them if needed for stepping on.

Between these two sets of pics I might be sold on these. I really like how they tuck up nicely. Thanks all!
 
I was sold on these until my buddy with a 80 series running the same type of u-bolt mounted sliders said theres a ton of flex when the whole weight of the truck is on his sliders. For the people who have installed theirs, have you tested them yet?
 
No problem here either I did re-torque the bolts down after a few thousand miles. I went with the DOM sliders and on more than one occasion they have saved me from some body damage.

That is concerning. Do you know if your buddy had the DOM or HREW version of the sliders?
