Smoke from AC Vents

Only owned 98 limited for a week now.
Have switched the ac control to air-from-outside and when running the fan at full speed (for the 1st time) after a few minutes water vapour-like smoke came thru' the vents. Its humid here in the Bahamas, so is this just condensation or is something else. The AC is cooling fine.
Have seen the thread on cleaning the motor blades but is there filters that should be cleaned too or other maintenance required to AC system.

What you have described has happened in my 1996 Toyota Camry. In fact, it happened a few times this summer. I blamed it on the humidity, since it only seemed to happen when it was really humid. I would run the A/C and then turn it off for awhile, but when I turned it back on the white "smoke" would come out of the vents.

The "smoke" was odorless, so I assumed it was just condensation. If yours has an odor, then you might need to get it looked at.

its nothing to worry about. very moist air, thats all

I had a similar problem in my 1971 Plymouth. The smoke turned out to be a bad heating core. Given some 30+ years of advances in technology, your Toyota problem could be something else entirely. But just thought I'd say it anyway.
