I have the material to make it, just need the time. Flat top full length is the plan.
Thank you! When I first bought the 4Runner I looked at a ton of bumpers skids and sliders. Yet there was no way to afford them all. I'll be at about 900-950 for front/rear bumper with swingout, full skids, sliders and roof rack.
Went out and had some fun today, mix of mud(ugh) snow and rocks. The snow in some places are still 18" deep. Was a good time put a new scratch on the front passenger flare, scraped up the skids and sliders. And dented the one remaining factory skid, the gas tank. Guess I'll be building that next.
Took some work to get on this.
Hit the woods today, 8 hrs and 100 miles. But 3 hrs was on pavement there and back. The day had its good points and it's bad points.
Good:
Peaked 2 mountains
Found some fun wheeling places
Ended up with the least amount of trail damage
The bad:
A branch scratched my passenger fender and dented the passenger door (minor)
Got up and close with a tree. Minot dent on the passenger roof.
The fj, got the most damage the same branch I got hit with dented every panel on the passenger side, jeep had minor dents on all passenger side panels with scratches( couldn't hang and left early)
Tacoma, major dents on roof passenger side by the same tree I got close with (taco was leading and didn't realize the damage until I slid into it)
Biggest obstical I've done yet!
On top! Great view, could see mountains in Canada.

Found a tight, steep washed out road. Gotta use all the flex, banged up the beadlocks, sliders and skids. Eventually got super muddy and decided to turn around. Jeep left us
On top of mountain 2 steep granite climb at least 40 degrees in places. Just before fj called it a day.
Now for the interesting part. Was going to head back after that one but got talked into one more trail. Extremely tight steep off camber climb through loose creek wash out. Sounds like fun, right? Well it was until this tree:
Sorry no pics while I was against it. But tried to get around following the tacoma as lead. I thought he cleared it with out issue, I'm 2" taller. Well I was clearing it until I was really off camber, I slid on smooth rocks and herd the thunk of the tree on the roof. FU. First recovery plan, cut tree enough for me to push it over the back. Was working until the chain saw got pinched. Plan 2, strap high on the tree, to high lift to tree. Try and pull the tree back enough to get the chain saw out first then either pull forward or ack out. Which ended up working, chain saw came out first, then was able to back out. Used a towel around the tree to prevent more damage if I slid over more. I ended up with a small dent but the tacoma caved in the passenger side above the extra cab window pretty badly. Pics later (maybe)
After that we finished the climb and called it a day before someone ended up on their lid.
In other news 285 75 16 fierce attitude tires were ordered to put on my stock wheels 600 shipped for 4. They will be my light wheeling dd tires.
