I'm just putting it out there that I'm able to help with basic installs and needs including suspension, comms, bumpers, diff breather, sliders, lighting, and regular maintenance. I've been working on car, trucks, and even firetrucks.

thanks for the offer! i wish you were closer to OC, i'd have you teach me some things. how good are you with spark plug replacement?
Any suggestions for muffler shops in OC? I called OC muffler in Costa Mesa, BRO in HB and Pro in HB, all wanted $90-120 to cut off my resonator and reroute the pipe behind the rear wheel. Other people on the board have said this cost them $35-60, so when i was getting those quotes over the phone I was a little bummed.
one thing i want to learn to do myself is diff and transfer case fluid. i know it's not something that needs to be done very regularly, but i want to do mine because i don't think it's ever been changed. i don't see it anywhere in the 6 years of service records i got with the truck and the PO said he almost never used the 4WD. i'd feel better if i could get under there and have someone teach me that.
the interwebs (yelp, yellow pages) are saying this business has closed :\Try Ace Muffler, (714) 892-1328.

After I heal I can show you guys how to do this. It's pretty straight forwardI'm down to do this too, I have a siphon pump we can use to transfer the fluid from the bottle to the inside of the tcase/diff. Let me know.
By the time your good to go I should be too.that'd be great! when are you up & running? i can't do it for another few weeks but i would definitely be down for a beer & wrench day.

Following up on DannyLlama's suggestion for reputable shops listed by category: can anyone recommend a trustworthy shop for diagnosing a suspension issue? I have clicking noising coming from my front suspension & recently my vsc/traction control has been engaging when it shouldn't be. the car has 85Kmiles w/ Toytec Boss lift. I bought it last month, knowing I would probably need to do some servicing on the suspension- but the traction control issue worries me as its a substantial safety issue. Any recommendations are appreciated! :thanks:

Hi there... for VSC kicking on random times read this first - http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-g...celeration-sensor-zero-point-calibration.html
Regarding noise... Did you lift recently? If so, do you mind listing parts?
