Softopper - Which Color ?

Hey guys...thinking about getting a Softopper for the Truck. Normally i would just go with Black but since the Truck is Grey i figured that maybe Grey would be a good choice....might look better....and more standard as if it came with the truck as an option..

or Grey

What do ye think ?

Tnks guys. Tan would look good if the truck was more 'beefy' .Since it still has the classic look i figured black or Grey might suit better.

And yeah....figured Grey would be a bit different. Might work well.

Hmm...still cant decide. Was doing some research and whilst some 4runners had color coded canopies...that did not include Grey trucks..So maybe if Toyota thought it wouldnt suit...who am i to argue...hmm

My vote's for tan. I've always liked the tan/grey look too. Second choice would be grey. Either way, that's a sweet rig you found.

So..i am going to take off the HardTop for the first time this weekend.

Is it a difficult job ?

Can 1 person handle it ?

Just as i was replying saw your post. Thanks mate. Will be studying the look

My truck has no rear roll over bar. Would that matter for the Softopper ?

i was able to remove all the bolts by my self but the top was too heavy for me - alone.

search around there are threads about storing the top, too.

So..i am going to take off the HardTop for the first time this weekend.

Is it a difficult job ?

Can 1 person handle it ?

Never realised how heavy the top would be. Do you find a difference in handling/fuel consumption when the hardtop is off. Wouldnt it be worth getting the canvas top just for those benefits ?

That topper is pretty darn heavy!! Not really a one man job unless it is in your garage using pullies or a hoist of some sort. Your Softopper does not come in contact with the Roll bar, so it has no effect on use or installation of your Softopper. You could always remove the topper the easy way by parking facing uphill, remove the topper bolts, and hit the gas!!:lmao:

No dice on that one! Not going to fit. Too wide....bummer.
I got rid of my hard top for 5 cases of beer, so I just roll with the Softopper year-round, even in the Montana winters!
