Sold my car, no 4runners in yet...toyota gave me a rental car

So this is my first post.

I was told on 10/25/09 that the Limited Edition 4R I reserved would be in 10/30/2009. I went ahead and sold my car private market on 10/28 in order to get more $ versus a trade-in. Got 3000$ more. The first week of November rolls around, and the 4R is still nowhere to be seen.

My dealer told me the same story with the hitch: a quality control issue where Toyota wants to fix the cabling to the hitches at the port so the dealers won't have to.

** One nice thing my dealer did was he had the regional office pay for a 30day rental from Hertz. Got a Toyota Matrix for 30 days from the 6th of November. **

I spoke with the dealer about 5 minutes ago after writing the post, and he said 1 week. Let's see if it is BS or not in 1 week.

Thanks for the information. That is more detail than I have heard yet.

My dealer is also covering the cost of a car rental for me for one month because I also sold my car and have been waiting since mid October after putting my money down.

That's nice of your dealer to do that. I didn't put any money down on mine.
