*** SOLVED***!!!Filled up to the "click" drove 80ft and it died. No Spark!

I'd have a shop diagnose it before throwing a $200 ecm at it, especially since immobilizer requires programming. Not saying it couldnt be that but that's always my last resort after checking all other parts of the system. I know you said your checked all your fuses, but I'd be sure to check the ones marked OBD and any marked ECU-IG, IG, IGN, ACC, EFI as they should be anything that provides power to the ECU and any other ignition systems that start the vehicle. There also appears to be a IGN relay 1 and EFI Main relay that should be checked, or any other relays with the same IG, EFI, ACC etc reference. I'm basing a lot of this off the 2010 manual found on the forum so I can't be 100% positive it'll carry over since I think you said you have a 12'. I can browse a little more tomorrow since I think we still have an Alldata account at work. Best of luck to ya man! I know how frustrating these can be. I've spent a good amount of time chasing electrical ghosts before to find I overlooked a relay or fuse with a bad reference abbreviation.

I'm capable to a degree but since I hit this OBD issue i'm stuck.....
I've pulled every fuse at this point for visual as well as testing with a meter and swapped relays, there are some fusible links but when I turn the key everything powers up and the starter cranks hard so those I would think would be a non issue.
I've got the manual downloaded and am sifting through it but its slow for me with work and the kids off school.
I found an ECM with the exact part number and build date for 200 bucks shipped but its not plug-n-play with the immobilizer business so a trip to the dealer would be mandatory for pairing the bits together. but who knows if that ECM is even operational. (pee into the wind)

The good news is that the immobilizer is a separate ECU and will retain it's memory. The bad is that there are several ECUs that work together to make the thing run.

No comms at the OBD (DLC in Toyoese) while all the body related stuff works does make the ECM suspect. Let's see if it has power.
I'm having trouble placing remote images in the post so everything will be 'Attached'.

Here is a link to the entire 2010 wiring diagram set.
You will find that it can be difficult to locate a specific area or component by file names. I use windows explorer to search (Ctrl F) within the folder to find the right file sometimes.

The last attachment shows the main power feeds to the ECM.

first a Toyota wiring diagram refresher in the first 3

The connections are displayed as a box for pass thru connector to connector. The ID is in the box- FA2 in this example. The pin number is beside it.

Connector to an item (ECM in this case) are shown as circles with the Connector key in the circle (the key is a single character) Somewhere on the diagram the key will show the connector ID. In this case F equates to ID F51.

The last pages of each diagram set (pdf file) will show the connectors.
*Edit* !! The images show a face view. When back-probing you have think in a mirror image. Left is Right when viewed from the wire side.

As you search for connectors in the files you will find that sometimes item F51 will be F 51 in other locations. Spaces count for seach…..

Check the molex connectors, could be as simple as a wire pulled out or is not making good contact, or a connector not seated well. Start at the coil you checked for spark, and work backwards until you find the break in continuity.

I'm sure that's what you are doing anyway. That's the way I would troubleshoot the electrical.

Definitely seems like an electrical issue but for future reference, he said it died after 80ft, I doubt the lines were cleared of the original (ok) fuel in that distance. I could be wrong.

When something stops working after making a change (no matter how small) it always makes sense to start looking right there. I think I would be looking at that fuel more closely before exploring electrical issues in-depth. The truck was running fine and then died shortly after filling up. It would be one thing if it hadn't started up again at all.

Man That is awesome info.... Exactly what is was looking for. Thank you so much.
But....I just had AAA take it over to the dealer :whipping2
I have to have some more info to get this fixed and I was at dead end.
They are tasking a single guy to take a tackle it.

I want it back now just for a few hours to use your diagrams.

I'll update here ASAP.

Dave

Dropped of my 4R Friday around 0930 and have heard nothing since (they were backed up) So I picked up my rental this am and popped in to see if they had any updates.
As i walked in the tech put rhen w/o on the desk.
Fixed.... Dead relay.... #82641-60080
Had my rental 20 min.
They were able get me the part somehow between Friday am and this morning for 650$ installed including the diagnostic time.
I don't know how the hell that all came together so quickly and the cost was far better than I had been anticipating.
My headache from grinding my teeth is gone.....
I picked them up a couple pizzas and hit the road.

Thanks all for tag teaming my 4R.....

I hate to hear about these issues since I am often 9+ hours away from home in mine, but very glad you got it worked out.

Seems all the signs pointed that way, but if weird behavior resurfaces please post back. Wishing you the best going forward though!

Just noticed you are in Pittsburgh, curious which dealer you dealt with?

So I was typing that as i was waiting for the paperwork. The service rep said it was the ECU....
Turned out that it was a Relay that i have no idea where it's located.
The relay #82641-60080 was 200$ and the diagnosis time/labor was 2.5hrs

Where is this and what is its job?
Part # 10 in the diagram

Rohrich Toyota.
I live in the east end. Regent square

That looks like the engine compartment fuse block.

That blows, if that sh!t went out in the middle of nowhere...

That is nearly as bad as the alternator fuse in the same box, you have to gut the entire thing to replace it, out the bottom! or pull an Antman and rebridge it.
