Something horrible happened.......

Update

Well I drove back home from DC with a garbage bag over my window (about a 5 hour ride), while I was cleaning the glass out of every nook and cranny that was posible I noticed that the interior door panel was scratched very badly. I called my insurance company and they wanted to come out and look at it. Today the agaent looked at it and here is now what is going to happen:

-Replace broken window (this was done saturday morning)
-Replace interior door panel ($731, quoted from toyota just for the part)
-Replace window that is right beside the broken one that would go up and down (not sure what its called)
-Repaint the entire door
-Replace rubber gasket around broken window

I just cant believe how much this has turned into.

Yikes! Why repaint the door? I'd try very hard to avoid this 'repair' if you can; no paint repair can ever — repeat, ever — match the factory original paint. Even small scratches would be better than a paint repair that you, as a fastidious owner, you will notice every time you look at it. See if you can pocket the money for this part of the repair as consolation.

DC is so poverty stricken (except the middle) that it is difficult to expect a nice vehicle not to get jacked.

Anyone who hasn't visited DC doesn't know sh$t about the situation there. I only visited for a week last year with a group of my fellow OIF/OEF veterans and was pretty shocked at way the city is divided up.

Sorry to hear about your truck.
