hey all, been on this web site for quite some time and have meet some of you in person. you guys have been a wealth of information and i always recomend this site to 4runner owners. my 4runner is a 1999 SR5 4WD automatic, with the 3.4 V6, no factory locker. I live in central california but actually bought this thing bone stock in LA, in 2011 with 92,xxx original miles. any way i'll update this bad boy as much as possible and also try to cover its back story.

Here's a pic of my hi lift I got for Xmas from my bro and sister in law, pretty sweet. And that brown metal box I carry everywhere, kinda like a emergency box. I have a sh*t ton of survival gear in there.

nice upgrades! not sure if its cause i picked up a new bumper style as well, but always going back to it isnt bad. but obviously the tube bumper is definitely more badass

the new one you got, what brand did you end up going with? either way looks good man!

I've been waiting for this thread. I've always liked the stance and look of your 4runner, and that tube bumper was awesome! Wish I would have saw when you threw it up for sale.

Thanks, it's a addicted offroad bumper, it's way stronger than my old tube bumper and has a winch plate built in!

Just got done priming and painting it with bed liner!

I don't have anything on those specifically but I tried to run these rims and they wouldn't clear the caliper. I have the larger brakes (the ones that came on the sport edition and up). Love the truck man keep it up!

Oh crazy man, thanks for the info! I've been looking at these and some of the other pro comp and scs rims. I'm still undecided. And thanks for the positive encouragement !

For some reason I thought you had a build already. Nice work so far and I still haven't painted your old bumper. haha Doesn't matter as I'll be swapping it for an Elite Offroad so i can get a winch and a bit more protection up front. I'm looking forward to the new one on your 4runner and we need to get another wheeling trip going.

Also, I'd stay clear of the steel wheels. They are heavier and often times have issues with the brake calipers. I'd go with SCS or something along those lines.

Yea steelies are definitely heavy. They work though. If you want something similar to the Summit Racing ones you were looking at you could look at these Wheelers Steel Wheels. I run the type B model and they clear the caliper and look pretty good if I could ever keep them clean.

You're in luck, I think scrunner12 is thinking about selling it, might want to pm him.... And thanks for the compliment :flame:
