SOS Renewal

To my surprise, my search didn't turn up much info on this topic. Bad search?

Who's bothered to renew their SOS subscription, and were there any decent deals to be had? I've received the letter from Toyota with their pricing, and I'm guessing that they won't budge on these prices at all. But is there any chance that SOS is like our XM subscription and there is room to bargain / negotiate, etc?

Any experience info would be appreciated.

In short, I didn't renew. I didn't think it was worth it honestly.

They offered 77 a yr, told them I want either my last plan, 27 for months (w taxes) or 32 for 6 months. I then said what would the best plan be (with stern and stuff), she said 37 for 6 months (includes taxes)...I did that one.

Hey I think you're referring to XM, not the SOS system. Anyway, mine was up the end of October and I did not renew. I am still on the fence if I will reactivate it however...

I'm on the fence as well.

It seems that the main real advantage of having it is the ability for it to call police if I am in a wreck and I am too injured to call for help myself. This is provided of course that I'm in cell phone coverage range. Hmmm....decisions, decisions!
