Our install instructions have a list of all the bolts, except it looks like its missing an additional 10 1/4-20 bolts needed for the front wind fairing.

Any suggestions for Military Scepter fuel and water can holders that would work for this rack? Preferably ones that have them lay down vs stand up?

Thank you. I know it may be overkill but I'll be ordering 25 3/8-16 x 1" and 100 1/4-20 x 5/8".

Maybe the THIRD time will be a charm for me with this install. 1st time I unpacked the rack and luckily noticed that the aluminum spacers had been left out of the parts bag before I pulled the factory bars off. No big deal, contacted them and they sent out the spacers. Went out this morning, put the rack together, pulled the factory bars off and THEN opened the box with the spacers. And wouldn't you know it, they are the wrong size. Reinstalled the factory bars and will contact them again tomorrow for the correct spacers. Hopefully I'll get the right spacers this time and finally get the install done next weekend.

“Dry-run” everything before you take out the rails.
Did you get the clear vinyl tape that goes between the roof and wind-fairing?

Yeah, I know better... I actually put the rack together on the ground. Fairing went on easy without any grinding like you had to do.

Yes, mine did come with the clear vinyl tape. Haven't put in on yet though. I was just getting ready to when I discovered the spacers were too tall.

Do all of your cross bars sit flush with the top of the side rails? Drivers side on mine is 'mostly flush', but most of them on the passenger side all stand proud of the side rail until I get to the two front bars (they're flush).

As for cross bars fitting, the holes in side rails are ~1-2mm bigger in diameter for a reason; just lift the bar to your liking while mounting the screws and it will be flushed.

Far be it for me to second guess someone who is actually on the ground there, but those pictures look to me like you may have the screws in the lower slots and not in the threaded holes. But your crossbars have a different extrusion profile from what I got also, so I very well could be wrong. But the bolt position on the side rail looks correct in comparison to mine.

As much as I'd like for it to be that simple, they are definitely in the threaded holes. Interesting that your bars have a different profile. I don't thing that has anything to do with it though since some of them are flush. The rear 1x2 bar and the two bars at the front of the rack are flush.

Edit: Just saw your picture come through. My bars appear to have the same profile as yours.

I have a different problem that I try to solve. The last rear cross bar mounting holes are offset

The shark fin antenna is in the way

If I move it to use the bottom 2 mounting holes

The cross bar is pushing the roof.

I moved the rubber washers between the spacers and the bracket

Without success. For that reason I was asking for your taller spacers, to go above the shark fin....

Ha... I dodged a bullet.
I was just about to grab the drill and slot the rear mounting holes when I thought to swap the 10x20 with 10x30 cross bar.

It’s a very tight fit, resting against the antenna

in the front but it works.

I guess adding that extra washer rubber height helped- I was not able to mount the 10x30 bar in front of the antenna before...

My mistake. A closer look at your picture showed me I was seeing the reflection from the top of the side rail, and it looked like a very narrow T profile. But something is still odd because your bolt holes appear to be centered on that upper "rail" similar to the way mine are.

My mistake. A closer look at your picture showed me I was seeing the reflection from the top of the side rail, and it looked like a very narrow T profile. But something is still odd because your bolt holes appear to be centered on that upper "rail" similar to the way mine are.

It's just a bad picture. Here's a better picture of the cross bar, it appears to be identical to yours.
